her easy to handle and fun to sail.

Whether cruising from island to island, or lazily anchored in secluded coves, this yacht is perfectly attuned to the luxury of casual comfort.

ELEKTRA offers her guests a range of amenities not found on other boats her size. A hand-rubbed oiled teak interior glows with traditional warmth against the colorful fabrics and carpeting of the salon, staterooms and companionways. New cabinetry displays a complete entertainment center with 21" color TV, and a wide selection in the Media library. The salon also features a wet bar with ice-maker. Forward of the salon is a completely separate galley, utility room, work room and crew quarters, allowing guests privacy and quiet of their quarters aft.

Each of the three comfortable guest staterooms has its own bathroom with separate shower and TV w/DVD player. Two guests staterooms (port and starboard) offer double berths, while the full width master stateroom aft has a queen-size bed, settee, and vanity. The yacht is fully air-conditioned with five individually controlled units.

On deck, ELEKTRA has a large all-weather cockpit with thickly padded cushions and backrests for comfortable lounging. Take a turn on the wheel and help trim the sails if you like. The large fore and aft decks are a sun worshipper's paradise. A built in, on-deck ice box keeps cold drinks always at hand.

For water sports enthusiasts, ELEKTRA offers plenty of toys including water skis, surf ski and knee boards, snorkeling and fishing gear, and a sail board. A dinghy ride to shore opens up the possibilities of hiking, shelling, browsing local markets and experiencing native cultures. To record your fun, tape the day's activities with the on-board video camera. Sonny and Anja met in Exmouth, Western Australia working together for a Dive Charter Company. Every day they dived and snorkelled the Ningaloo Reef showing the best dive spots and every little or large creature their group of guests wanted to see. Crewing as Deckhand, First Mate and Divemaster on Dive, Snorkel, Whaleshark, Humpback and Mantaray Day Charters was the start to their new ocean adventures. Travelling Australia and moving to the East Coast gave both more opportunities on working on the water as well as getting to explore the passion of wind in your sails. For five years both sailed up and down the east coast teaching kids on a 100ft Schooner, how to sail, crewing for circumnavigators sharing amazing knowledge, becoming permanent crew aboard social racing yachts in Brisbane as well as taking guests to one of the biggest sand islands in the world for snorkel and day explorations, to Tangalooma Resort.
"The ocean is our home" both admit and after coming to the BVI for their honeymoon, Sonny and Anje knew - they will be back. Only two years later they are ready to take perfect care as your crew on Elektra. Their stories will inspire and their hospitality indulge during your stay onboard.

Captain Sonny grew up by the sea/ocean in Perth, Western Australia, becoming a surf life saver at an age of seven. For the last six years Sonny worked on several private and commercial vessels. He is known for his amazing happy aura, entertainment and the best stories. Sonny holds a BVI Captains License as well as an Australian commercial marine license and is also a certified Padi Divemaster. He is a professional cabinetmaker by trade.

First Mate and Chef Anja has German background and serves as the second part of the team. She worked over six years in hospitality enjoying the international gourmet experiences. Anja is known for her outstanding cuisine and attention to detail. Discovering the underwater world bought her to Australia. She holds an IYA Stewardess/Interior Crew certificate and is a professional Production Operations Engineer holding a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Anja is also a certified Padi Divemaster.
