| Caribbean Dream 47 ft. Robertson & Caine Catamaran
After a day of sailing shimmering waters, snorkeling with tropical fish or strolling magnificent beaches, the sun is setting, a vibrant sunset reflecting upon crystal clear water. A delicious meal is prepared in the galley while cocktails are enjoyed on the deck, enhancing the magnificent view. Perhaps a night of fun on the island awaits you; or maybe a relaxing night enjoying the serenity of the peaceful Caribbean. These are among the many amazing experiences to be had aboard Caribbean Dream.
The decor of the Leopard 47 was carefully chosen by interior designers, using only the finest quality fabrics, selected for their superior durability and style. The airy V-shaped saloon seats 8 to 10 adults comfortably with discrete but spacious storage under the seating. The varnished beech saloon table converts to provide an additional double berth. Soft overhead lighting, quality fabrics and beech wood finishes give a warm atmosphere to the Leopard 47 interior. Large windows with deluxe fitted blinds provide superb panoramic views and allow natural light to flood in, while ceiling fans and forward portholes maximize ventilation for a wonderfully airy feel. In addition to the beautiful corian countertop which separates the galley from the dining area, the 3 cabin layout has a relaxed bar area, complete with varnished beech serving shelf, discrete cocktail cabinet and elegant corian shelving.
Below deck, you'll find spacious air-conditioned private staterooms with ensuite heads and showers. The guest cabins feature large double berths, overhead lighting, adjustable reading lamps, electric fans, full size hanging lockers with shelving and a full-length dress mirror on the cabin door. A large overhead hatch with blinds and numerous portholes provide natural lighting and superb ventilation. The spacious guest heads have all amenities including large washbasin, mirrored vanity unit, shaver outlet and oversized marine toilet, and ELECTRIC flush!
Caribbean Dream's Crew
Glenn Becker and Angela Smith Captain Glenn has spent the last 10 years crewing and captaining both sailing and power yachts in the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean and the Pacific. He was born in Chicago, on the shores of Lake Michigan. His teenage years were spent working for a local marina. His family often chartered sailboats for their annual vacations so he developed a love for the Caribbean islands and waters at a young age. After graduating from Colgate University with a degree in Economics, Glenn turned his back on the corporate world and instead pursued another passion of his, skiing. Glenn joined the Telluride Ski Patrol where he spent 12 years ensuring the safety of skiers while training his own avalanche rescue dog, Maggie. Once Glenn’s feet became so cold that they wouldn’t thaw, he decided to trade ski boots for flip flops and headed for the tropics. Glenn earned his USCG 100 Ton Masters and went to work for the Moorings as well as delivering yachts up and down the Eastern Seaboard and the Caribbean. He owned and chartered a Beneteau 510 named Rusty Nail II before returning to the Moorings for another season. After joining the private sector, Glenn crewed and captained on several sailboats before ending up in Hawaii where he worked for a day sail charter company. Glenn is a PADI Dive Master and, having spent many hours beneath the surface of the Caribbean, is very knowledgeable about all of the best snorkel and dive spots and would love nothing more than to jump into the warm, inviting water and show you a world that not many know exists. Chef Angela Smith was born and raised in upstate New York. She spent summers with her Grandmother where she learned how to cook at a very young age. Her first official job at the age of 14 was the Assistant Baker at Brant Lake Camp, a prestigious boy’s camp. After that, no matter what career choice she made, it always came back to cooking. Angela completed her chef training in Culinary, Pastry and Restaurant Management in Houston, Texas. She owned and operated her own catering and special events company for 14 years in the Houston area. Chef Angela continued to work in the industry as a ServSafe Instructor and Business Development Manager for a French culinary school and as a Special Events Coordinator for Space Center Houston, the visitor’s center for NASA. One of her career highlights was being named the Lean Body Chef for Labrada Nutrition. This position allowed her the opportunity to develop healthy recipes for foods that are typically off limits to both amateur and professional bodybuilders. After moving to Hawaii in 2004, Chef Angela became the Corporate Pastry Chef for Y. Hata & Co., the largest foodservice distributor in the islands. She was named “One of the best up and coming chefs in Hawaii” by Castle and Cooke and became the Pastry Advisor/Coach for the Army Culinary Olympic Team. Angela was the creative talent behind Maui’s WM The Restaurant where she performed the dual role of Executive Chef and Executive Pastry Chef. She then went on to become the Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager for the two Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse restaurants on Maui. In 2007, Chef Angela was offered the position of Executive Chef/Operations Manager with a local day sail charter company. She quickly accepted because this would allow her the opportunity to combine two of her passions, cooking and being on the water. Angela is a competitive outrigger canoe paddler, paddles Stand-Up Boards and is a PADI Rescue Diver. Glenn and Angela met in Hawaii while working for the same day sail charter company. There they found the perfect combination of interests and talents that allow them to offer indescribably luxurious vacations full of exotic scenery and gourmet food designed to please any palate. Now calling the BVI home, they look forward to making your “Caribbean Dream” come true.
